Retail Manager - Basswood

Work Hours:

Full‑time (40 hrs per week). Days and hours vary; 2 days off per week.

• Responsible for the selection, training, and management of personnel. Ensure employees understand work rules and address inappropriate activities/behaviors immediately, coordinating corrective action plans with department head and/or Human Resources to maintain an inclusive and positive work environment.

• Communicate with management team and conduct monthly employee meetings. Attend all required meetings and training.

• Direct and delegate work of the entire store team, including store leadership team (assistants and key holders).

• Evaluate employee performance and drive professional development.

• Comply with all Agency policies, including Donated Goods Retail SOPs, and safety and security policies.

• Implement and administer sales strategies, inventory, display, fiscal, and personnel scheduling to maximize store resources.

• Lead and trouble‑shoot POS system and strategies; maintain proficiency in all workstations.

• Maintain company records and reports accurately and timely; oversee production and rotation of merchandise, ensuring quality and proper pricing.

• Accountable for reporting such as payroll and daily sales reports; meet store sales goals and operate within budgetary guidelines.

• Provide excellent customer service and train employees in customer service skills.

• Oversee daily maintenance and care of the physical store, ensuring a safe, secure, and orderly facility; meet safety and first aid training requirements and reporting.

• At least three (3) years experience in retail or a similar active industry with more than one‑year supervisory responsibilities.

• Strong math and communication capabilities with demonstrated leadership skills.

• Ability to adapt and manage change; communicate clearly with customers and team members; coach/train peers or team members and guide team members with disabilities and the disadvantaged.

• Proven computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS, Credit Card Draft Capture Terminal, and computerized pricing and inventory systems.

Sufficiently mobile to work throughout the facility; must be able to stand or be in a stationary position for long periods. Open availability (7 days a week) to work varying schedule, including one hour prior to store opening and one hour after store closing.

Documentation to satisfy I‑9 requirements, background check, and drug screen. Travel required to corporate office or other locations for meetings and bank deposits/change.
