Overview
We are seeking a Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team.
Pay range: $13.00 to $19.00 per hour. We offer a commission structure that pays for every transaction processed. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.03 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

- Store hours:
Most stores open at 9 AM and close at 6 PM; many stores are closed on Sundays. - Earned Wage Access program available on the second day of employment (withdraw up to 50% of wages earned, up to seven times per payroll cycle).
- Unlimited commission potential above hourly base rate.

Minimum of six months of management/third key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive, productive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment. It involves analyzing store financial statements to meet financial goals, supporting asset protection, and promoting the business to target new customer acquisitions.
Team members work with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control and safety procedures.
- Administer processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and self-development training.
- Communicate clearly with employees to share the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting) in accordance with law.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Density around exterior customer assistance when needed; may retrieve products stored outside.
- Minimum Age: 18
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as needed.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Assistant Store Managers will work 40+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
- Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office machines.
