Who you are:

The Sous Chef is the second hand man to the Executive Chef. He/she must be able to take direction from the Executive Chef to understand and execute all menu items according to recipes. The Sous Chef must have a passion for cuisine and hospitality.

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare food for service to specification from proprietary recipes, e.g. chopping veg, butchering meat, making sauces, garnishes, etc.
  • Observe and distinguish product quality by smell, taste, and appearance.
  • Cook in coordination with other cooks to ensure proper timing on tickets.
  • Effectively communicate with the Executive Chef and other kitchen personnel.
  • Be up to code with safety and food regulations.
What we need from you:
  • Must possess or be able to obtain Food Manager's Permit.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a chef-driven restaurant.
  • Have a passion for cuisine and hospitality.
  • Be able to perform all essential job functions of the position.
  • Effectively communicate in English with the Executive Chef and other kitchen personnel.
  • Be dependable and punctual.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends.
  • Must have experience at a high volume establishment.
  • Fine dining experience is preferred
