Title: Research Scientist I (Topical Ophthalmic Formulations)

Location: Fort Worth, TX (Onsite)

Contract Duration: 6-9 months, likely extension

Pay Rate: $36.23 per hour (W2)

Please Note: Must have Topical Ophthalmic Formulation, Emulsion and New Solution Stability experience

Job Description

The candidate will join the group focusing on the development of topical ophthalmic formulations and help solve manufacturing and stability challenges in new solution and emulsion formulations, evaluate the properties of new formulations and materials, and characterize new manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
  • Handle experiments under limited supervision, following GxP guidelines; self‑driven,íns; prioritize objectives, detail‑oriented, and hands‑on.
  • Contribute to DOE development in collaboration with supervising scientists.
  • Analyze, summarize, and present data.
  • Generate, review, and approve documents十五 like batch records, study protocols, reports, and SOPs.
  • Work independently with little direction and tight timelines.
Qualifications
  • In‑depth experience in polymer chemistry, surface chemistry, colloid chemistry, or similar, with strong formulation and characterization skills.
  • BS degree in chemistry, polymer science, surface science, colloid chemistry, or similar; chemical lab experience; ability to work following SOPs and instructions.
  • MS or PhD degree with experience in polymer science, surface science, colloid chemistry, or similar.
  • Experience working with polymer solutions and/or emulsions, familiarity with rheology byose; microscopy; and particle‑size characterization methods.
  • Experience developing ophthalmic products.
  • Understanding of formulation development principles.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as pharmaceutical or medical devices.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience in GxP.
