Department SummaryThe Institute for Translational Research focuses on translating novel diagnostics and interventions to patients with neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimer’s disease. The team performs bench‑top science, clinical research, community‑based studies, and clinical trials.
Position OverviewThis role participates in the administration and monitoring of clinical research studies and/or clinical trials, analyzing and evaluating clinical data collected during research.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have the ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical organizational infrastructure related to the role.
- Knowledge of scientific research techniques, methods and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with researchers, staff members, faculty, supervisors and students.
- Academic writing skills.
- Data entry experience.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Conduct face‑to‑face and/or telephone interviews with participants following predetermined protocols and documentation standards.
- Participate in community recruitment and screening of research participants.
- Conduct neuropsychological testing in studies and projects.
- Score interviews, complete research protocols and perform statistical analysis.
- Coordinate data entry, merge files, complete quality‑control checks, and manage data quality.
- Administer functional research exams to participants.
- Perform administrative tasks such as preparing research materials and filing.
- Maintain accurate interview records, safeguarding confidentiality of subjects.
- Repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Sedentary work primarily involving sitting/standing.
- Lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Movement between work sites as needed.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
