Quality Lab Technician

About The Job

At Danone, manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Quality Lab Technician based in Fort Worth, Tx.

• Operate and maintain analytical bench test equipment, e.g., Rheomat, pH meter, etc.
• Certify and execute micro plating, e.g., EB, Coliform, etc.
• Execute environmental testing, e.g., swabs, air testing, water testing, etc.
• Execute organization of culture received.
• Execute proficiency tests with a passing grade.
• Conduct Line Inspections/Clearances – e.g., Pre-op, Allergen Line Clearances, etc.
• Conduct ELISA testing for product validations.
• Conduct analysis and testing for products on hold.
• Support specialist with lab supply call outs and stocking.
• Support projects for audit compliance (e.g., glass audit, WISE audit).
• Support and drive quality improvement in the lab.
• Help ensure compliance to Danone and Regulatory Quality Systems schemas, e.g., FSSC 22000, PrP, TDH/FDA, Danone Audits.
• Support Quality systems (e.g., the plant ISO and HACCP initiatives).
• Support development of quality SOPs and ensure QARs are followed up as it relates to materials.
• Perform analysis according to plan of control, document findings, analyze trends, and put together quality action plans.
• Train the operational teams on quality related topics such as GMP, quick hits and support the development of quality SOPs and OPL (one-point lessons) and ensure that quality action reports are followed up.
• Support innovation/renovation plant trials related to materials.

• Have a bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, or comparable field preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in the dairy/food/beverage manufacturing industry, including supervisory experience.
• Proven ability to establish, optimize and maintain world‑class quality systems and teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence others and be a team player.
• Ability to develop/implement core work practices and standards that ensure excellence in quality.
• Ability to rapidly assess, analyze, and quickly resolve complex quality problems with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.
