Work hours:
Full-time, 40 hours weekly, holidays and on-call (must live within 30 minutes of hospital for call) (4-member Call Team) required
Cath lab department with 6 Suites/Treatment rooms averaging 20 cases per day
We are open 24/7 Monday through Friday and have after hour, holidays, and weekend on-call requirements (with 30 min distance response time).

Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
Experience:One (1) year experience as a clinical Registered Nurse or completion of an RN Residency program required
Current Cath Lab/EP Lab experience strongly preferred
Licensure andCertifications:
RN
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required and
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within ninety (90) days required
Skills:A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs and demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient's affiliations
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
