• Ensure all necessary records, results, and studies are gathered and available for chart review.
• Review patient charts for deficits that could prevent surgery and coordinate with personnel to resolve issues.
• Provide patients with preoperative instructions before surgery.
• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management, including participation on committees and quality improvement projects.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification

• Current Texas RN License.
• Current BLS certification, must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Required Experience

• Knowledge and application of the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Ability to establish priorities and use nursing judgment in decision‑making.
• Capability to recognize and intervene in stressful situations and perform effectively.
