RN Pre Admission Testing (PAT) Responsibilities- Ensure all necessary records, results, and studies are gathered and available for chart review.
- Review patient charts for deficits that could prevent surgery and coordinate with personnel to resolve issues.
- Provide patients with preoperative instructions before surgery.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management, including participation on committees and quality improvement projects.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
Licensure/Certification
- Current Texas RN License.
- Current BLS certification, must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire.
Required Experience
- Knowledge and application of the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Ability to establish priorities and use nursing judgment in decision‑making.
- Capability to recognize and intervene in stressful situations and perform effectively.
- Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage.
