Focus on meticulous, patient‑oriented care.
- Provide all nursing care services for ICU patients in accordance with accepted standards of care.
- Ensure high‑quality, safe patient care and maintain compliance with professional, Joint Commission, federal, and state standards.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school, BSN preferred.
- Current Texas RN license.
- Current BLS; must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of two (2) years as an RN in a hospital medical/surgery or ICU unit.
- ICU neuro experience preferred.
- Performs direct patient care within scope of RN practice and hospital policies.
- Responds quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.
- Identifies educational needs, implements and evaluates learning, documents patient/family education.
- Manages acute and chronic pain, especially post‑procedure or surgical patients.
- Delivers medication based on continual assessment, safety, and patient response.
- Documents thoroughly, timely, and accurately in the patient’s medical record.
- Serves as a resource RN on RRT/Code Blue response teams.
- Responsive and willing to help team members and float to other clients when indicated.
