Work Location & Schedule
  • Work location:

    Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104
  • Work hours:

    Full Time Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) for 36 hours/week, with weekend and holiday requirements

  • Women’s Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET, and Texas 10-Step facility, and Maternal Level IV designated facility

  • Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
  • Women’s Services (GYN/Antepartum) 27-bed unit combining GYN, High Risk Antepartum, Breast surgery and Postpartum patients
  • Provide care to GYN, post-surgical patients — various surgeries including hysterectomies, breast surgeries;
    Postpartum (NICU moms), and Antepartum patients (all gestation levels)
What You Need
  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma (required)
  • BSN preferred
  • CLIAF E must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
  • RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire
  • One-year experience as an RN, or completion of an RN residency program
  • One year or more of GYN, Antepartum, Women’s Services RN experience strongly preferred
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (required)
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days (required)
  • Fetal monitoring (EFM) knowledge and experience preferred
What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others’ need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and during transfers
