Overview
This is a full-time Monday-Friday position with hours from 8:30am to 5pm, with no weekends, call, or major holidays. Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team to support the Medical Oncology Department at the Ft Worth, TX location. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country with 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma.

Responsibilities- Under general supervision, provide professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.
- Recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care and participate in company-wide quality initiatives.
- Support and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
- Assess patient and family needs and provide teaching and instructional materials.
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care, including managing medication refill requests and documenting in the patient chart.
- Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments for patients.
- Triages patient phone calls and documents relevant information in the patient’s chart.
- Facilitate communication between patient/family and the interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
- Assist patients in locating available community resources.
- Act as a resource to LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Willing to consider an entry, mid, or senior level candidate.
- Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physical RequirementsRequires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods. Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
