Work location: Texas Health Alliance, 10864 Texas Health Trail, Fort Worth, TX 76244

Work hours: Full-Time – Nights Shift – 7p-7a – 36 Hours/Week – 3/12 hour shifts per week

ED Highlights

Here’s What You Need
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
  • CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
  • RN – Current Registered Nurse required upon hire
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (required)
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
  • ENPC – Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire (required)
  • TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months of hire (required)
  • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
  • 2‑3 years ER experience preferred
What You Will Do
  • Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age‑specific safety and infection‑control measures into patient care
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers
