Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department Full-Time Nights

Work location: Texas Health Alliance, 10864 Texas Health Trail, Fort Worth, TX 76244
Work hours: Full-Time – Nights Shift – 7p-7a – 36 Hours/Week – 3/12 hour shifts per week
ED Highlights- Patients with critical injuries or illnesses are treated in one of our 40 Emergency Rooms

- Self‑scheduling unit with work/life balance and opportunities for educational and professional growth
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
- CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
- RN – Current Registered Nurse required upon hire
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (required)
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
- ENPC – Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire (required)
- TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months of hire (required)
- PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
- 2‑3 years ER experience preferred
- Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age‑specific safety and infection‑control measures into patient care
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers
