Job specification

• Administer anesthesia following state licensure, federal regulations, and VA policies.
• Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop tailored anesthesia care plans.
• Provide general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for surgical and procedural patients.
• Oversee post-anesthesia recovery and manage patient responses during the recovery period.
• Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission standards and professional practice guidelines.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and clinical rounds as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation using the VA's electronic health record system (CPRS/Vista).

Candidate requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
• Flexibility to work variable schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Active CRNA license and certification through NBCRNA.
• Eligible for or currently licensed in the state of Texas.
• Familiarity with federal healthcare systems and VA-specific policies is a plus.
• Strong clinical skills across multiple anesthesia modalities.
• Experience with the CPRS/Vista EHR system is preferred.
