Production Manager, Manufacturing Operations / Plant Manager
A leading food and beverage manufacturer is seeking a Production Manager to provide hands-on operational leadership for processing and packaging operations at their Fort Worth manufacturing facility.
This role is central to driving performance across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People, and Environment (SQCDPE) within a regulated manufacturing environment. The Production Manager will translate business and site priorities into disciplined execution on the plant floor while strengthening frontline leadership capability and operational rigor.
The successful candidate is a strong manufacturing leader with a floor-forward mindset, the ability to partner cross-functionally, and a clear focus on continuous improvement and people development within a single-site operation.
Key Responsibilities Production & Operational Leadership- Lead day-to-day production and processing operations at the Fort Worth site to achieve performance targets across safety, quality, cost, delivery, people, and environmental metrics.
- Partner with site leadership to develop and execute annual operating plans, production goals, and improvement initiatives aligned to site and business objectives.
- Drive Lean manufacturing practices, standard work, and OEE optimization to improve throughput, reduce waste, and strengthen operational consistency.
- Ensure full compliance with occupational health & safety, food safety, GMP, HACCP, SQF, and environmental standards.
- Maintain operational readiness for regulatory, customer, and internal audits.
- Lead, coach, and develop shift supervisors and frontline leaders.
- Support performance management, workforce engagement, and succession planning within the production organization.
- Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, and Planning teams to optimize production schedules, materials flow, equipment reliability, and maintenance execution.
- Monitor site-level operational KPIs, prepare production reports, and implement corrective actions to close performance gaps and prevent disruptions.
- 5–7+ years of progressive leadership experience in food or consumer packaged goods manufacturing
- Proven experience leading processing and/or packaging operations in a regulated environment
- Strong working knowledge of occupational health & safety, food safety, and quality systems
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing production teams
- Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong business acumen with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
- Experience working with CMMS, ERP, and MES systems
- Strong communication, decision-making, and execution skills
