Xpressdocs is looking for a Scheduling Manager to be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing daily production employee schedules to ensure efficient workflow, on‑time delivery, and effective use of labor, materials, and equipment. This role works closely with Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Quality teams to balance customer demand with production capacity and operational constraints.

In this position, you will:
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
  • Monitor production progress and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, or material shortages.
  • Collaborate with Production Supervisors to ensure staffing, equipment, and materials are aligned with schedule requirements.
  • Creates the master schedule; monitors and updates to ensure on-time delivery of the product to customers.
  • Communicate schedule changes and priorities to all relevant departments.
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements. Coordinate with Purchasing and Inventory teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of production timelines, work orders, and capacity planning data.
  • Prepare reports on schedule adherence, production output, and forecast accuracy and waste reduction.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workflow, efficiency, and planning accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of materials or documents up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to work on‑site in a production environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and production planning best practices.
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) is preferred.
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of materials or documents up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to work on‑site in a production environment.

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have experience in production scheduling, planning, or manufacturing operations.
  • Have experience training part‑time staff, including documenting processes and creating clear, detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each machine.
  • Have experience using scheduling applications or workforce‑management tools.
  • Have experience with ADP’s scheduling template (preferred but not required).
  • Possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lead times, and capacity planning.
  • Are proficient with scheduling or ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Epicor, etc.).
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate well across teams.
  • Can manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Maintain high attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Are proficient in Excel or other data analysis tools.
