Trinity Industries, Inc. is hiring Senior Quality Technician at our Fort Worth plant.
What you’ll do- Extensive experience in use of measuring and testing equipment (tape measure, calipers, micrometer, levels, pressure gauges, etc.).
- Utilize inspection tools and measuring equipment to ensure compliance to Trinity Industries, Inc. policy and procedures.
- Perform visual and measured inspection of products to ensure conformance with standards and determine if product meets all requirements.
- Inspect incoming materials or plates, outgoing materials, or fittings and welds throughout the manufacturing process.
- Apply quality processes and tools under the guiding rules of the AAR and FRA.
- Perform nondestructive examination to verify specified dimensions, strengths, and other quality factors using measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
- Complete and maintain certification on measuring and testing equipment.
- Conduct compliance examinations to verify specified dimensions, strengths, and other quality factors using measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
- Under supervision, perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of manufacturing and repair defects.
- Under supervision, conduct routine Quality Program compliance audits.
- Research inspection objectives to facilitate understanding of the program or activity to be inspected.
- Follow all safety rules and practices.
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Familiarity with appropriate codes and regulations within the rail industry.
- Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to work independently.
- Expert knowledge of operational functions to be inspected.
- Ability to perform and oversee visual and measured inspections using various measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
- Proficient in the use of inspection tools and measuring equipment.
- Performs final inspection at 1 hold points or processes.
- Minimum of 3‑year experience in a quality role in a manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
