Tooling Inspector A (
Job Number:335352 ) Work PerformedDetermines by measurement with precision instruments the adherence to tooling blueprint specifications of tools, dies, and jigs and fixtures; determines the accuracy of any master or production template used as a guide in laying out, drilling or trimming parts to specifications; inspects assembly jigs, fixtures, or master tooling parts during progressive stages of construction; assign duties to other Tool and Die Inspectors, instructs them in methods to be followed and checks their work for accuracy and completeness.
Tools& Equipment Used
Precision measuring instruments and equipment, layout tools, gauges, surface sine and angle plates and tables, levels, and transits, inspection stamps and hammers, various jigs, templates and patterns, etc., and machinist’s hand tools.
Experience & Other RequirementsFive years tooling inspection experience.
