Overview

Job Description - Material Bonder A - 1st Shift - ACC (338843)

Responsibilities
  • Work from blueprints, Bell Process Specifications, drawings, or written specifications to perform all necessary layouts and prepare parts or articles composed of like or unlike materials for the pressure bonding process.
  • Plan operations and perform assembling, fitting, and trimming as required; apply either liquid or solid bonding agents.
  • Use various production aids, such as jigs, fixtures and hand tools; check all work to ensure correct bonding agent selection, proper assembly and fitting, and placement of articles in the pressure furnace.
  • Control conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating the controls according to specifications for the materials and bonding agent being used.
  • Maintain close watch over furnace controls during the bonding process to ensure a successful bond and prevent damage to articles.
  • Inspect finished articles and ensure safe operation of equipment.
Experience & Other Requirements

Two years metal fitting or forming experience, one year of which must have been in bonding work including the operation of a pressure furnace, or two years Bell Material Bonder B classification experience or one year Bell Material Bonder B experience combined with one year metal fitting or forming experience.

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
