Overview
Material Inv Clerk - 2nd Shift (CDC). Job Number 338573.
Responsibilities- Receives material and parts from transportation representatives.
- Receives truck driver’s bill of lading after a physical check of items received.
- Works from Purchase Order, Material Shipping Order, C.A.A. Tag, and Vendors’ lists. Checks items received against Purchase Order, M.S.O., C.A.A. Tag, and Vendors’ list. Checks may be a physical count or weight count.
- Certifies each order as to quantity or weight of shipment after each check.
- May help unpack items.
- Delivers materials to department inspectors.
- Performs manual and clerical tasks involved in storing and disbursing aircraft materials, supplies and equipment.
- Is responsible for the efficient and orderly operation of a stock room.
- Receives and stores a wide variety of materials, supplies, parts, simple hand tools, etc.
- Selects and properly identifies suitable storage locations such as shelves, bins, containers, and racks for all articles.
- Fills orders according to disbursement requisitions, reporting critical shortages and stock below minimum requirements.
- Traces stock shortages within the stockroom by physical checking for articles.
- Keeps a perpetual inventory record of stock on hand.
- Makes periodic inventories for accounting records.
- May use typewriter in setting up and maintaining records.
- Operates fork truck to load, move, lift, and stack large and/or heavy articles. Fork experience required.
- Tools & Equipment Used:
Typewriter, fork truck and other required items necessary to do the work.
- One year of Receiving Clerk, Stock Clerk or related clerical experience.
- Fork Lift Certification Required.
