1st Shift, Shipping & Receiving Assistant (Office Hourly position) – This position is responsible for administrative tasks associated with shipping and receiving.
Work Schedule7:00am – 3:00pm, Monday through Friday
Responsibilities- Process packing lists, labels, bills of lading in CIMPRO and other required documents for outgoing shipments
- Issue Correct Action Requests when vendors are not in compliance with sending Certificates of Analysis.
- Create/update reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Act as a back‑up office personnel
- Export documentation
- Stock transferring—handle all plant material movement
- Handle the terms and conditions of export licensing
- Process Receiving Materials
- Process Non‑Receiving Materials
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned or apparent
- Must be able to work in a fast‑paced, high‑speed environment, follow standardized work processes, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. regularly and stand for an 8‑hour shift
- Must be able to read and follow manuals and procedures
- Must be able to maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Must be dependable and have excellent attendance
- Must have a positive attitude
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed, up to every other weekend
- Must be willing and able to work in temperature extremes—hot and cold
- Must be able to pass a forklift test
- Attendance is an essential function of the position
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Preferred high school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred forklift experience
- Preferred previous manufacturing experience with WS
Contacts: internal – continuously (67‑100%), external – occasionally (6‑33%)
Regularly: communicates via phone, email, in person; required to sit for extended periods while watching security surveillance system and logging information at a computer.
Frequently: talk and hear to coordinate day‑to‑day phone and in person transactions.
Occasionally: operates a computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine and printer; lifts and/or moves up to 25 lbs.; may be exposed to noise levels above the OSHA action level; proper personal safety equipment to be used while performing this job; may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, and chemical dust; exposed to hazardous materials as defined by the OSHA Hazard Communication standard.
Standard office and manufacturing environment. The noise level is typically low to moderate, due to office equipment, manufacturing machines and equipment.
Manual Dexterity: repeatedly required to walk, bend, reach, twist, turn and stand, climb stairs, sit in one place for extended periods of time. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk, hear, and see.
