Summary Description:

• Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the scheduled, unscheduled, and preventative maintenance and repair of a wide variety of beverage manufacturing and packaging equipment. This role requires strong mechanical skills including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, conveyor systems, and PLC usage.

Essential Job Functions:

• Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas.
• Responsible for adhering to food quality and food safety standards.
• Report problems with the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to managerial employees to initiate corrective actions.
• Perform and complete repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers.
• Troubleshoot machinery for malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, & pneumatic).
• Perform maintenance on all production supporting equipment.
• Use innovative thinking when troubleshooting equipment to minimize production downtime.
• Document and retrieve final approvals on all assigned work orders.
• Communicate effectively all relevant maintenance and production related information.
• Assist in training other maintenance personnel.
• Work collaboratively with all adjacent teams to resolve issues rapidly.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of GMPs.
• Understanding of Food Safety Requirements.
• Ability to read and understand machinery blueprints and parts manuals.
• Must obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under own supervision.

Education and Experience:

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years previous maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Fast-paced production plant environment with numerous moving parts.
• Noise levels require hearing protection.
