Sampler - Part Time

The sampler/technician is responsible for obtaining samples of grain from rail cars, trucks and bins using methods prescribed by USDA-FGIS. Correctly identify each sample and return to lab. Assists in laboratory with processing samples. Regular hours are from Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Mandatory days will require you to come on the weekends and possibly do 8+ hours.

• Assist with loading/unloading trucks.
• Assist with loading/unloading railcars.
• May assist with grain handling.
• Punctual and regular attendance is an essential job function.

Required Skills

• Seld motivated
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Great work ethic
• Must have knowledge of and understand the personnel and safety policies of the company.

• Be able to pick up samples close or far distance
• Working outside for a period
• Working in any weather condition (rain, snow, hot, etc…)
• Being able to pick up heavy things

• Can pick up 12 ft probe
• Can stand for a long period of time
• Can get on top of railcars
• Be able to work outside with all weather conditions
• Can pick up from anything 50+ pounds
