About The Role

Responsibilities may include performing batching functions, communicating with central dispatch regarding daily driver and equipment status, maintaining inventory levels, and operating plant processing equipment. May enforce all company policies related to operations, safety, and environment. May provide work direction to the workforce at assigned locations. Responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of all key performance indicators.

What You'll Accomplish

  • Using computer or manual controls, efficiently batch product with proper mix, making necessary raw material and moisture adjustments.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers to complete customer orders, schedule deliveries, complete paperwork, and perform small plant maintenance. May operate front end loader or other material handling equipment to charge plant with aggregate, sand, or other materials.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced employees on complex or heavier assignments. Coordinate work to ensure timely completion according to priority. May train new employees.
  • Ensure safety, compliance, and environmental requirements are followed at all times.
  • Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies. Promote a safety culture.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of related customer service or dispatch experience.
  • Proficiency with dispatch systems, PCs, telephones, and headsets.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb equipment, stairs, and ladders.
  • Ability to walk on various surfaces and in enclosed spaces.
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
  • Availability for overtime, including Saturdays and overnights.

Additional Requirements

  • Adherence to safety protocols and proper PPE use, including respirators. Employees requiring respirators must pass fit tests and be clean-shaven where the respirator seals.
