Position Summary

The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial processes. This individual will serve as a key leader within the organization—providing strategic financial insight while remaining hands‑on with day‑to‑day accounting management. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver who thrives in a dynamic, evolving business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting, including AR, AP, month-end close, and reconciliations
• Manage corporate insurance, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting
• Coordinate bonding and security requirements
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and maintain robust internal controls
• Support construction-related accounting and job cost management
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 direct reports (team structure may evolve)
• Collaborate closely with leadership to provide insight into financial performance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong technical accounting skills with experience in the construction industry
• Proven ability to manage financial reporting, forecasting, and month-end close
• Experience implementing and maintaining internal controls
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
• Hands‑on and collaborative working style
• Inventory management experience
• Flexible and adaptable mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Background in public accounting
• Tax exposure or experience
