Job SummaryField Service Coordinator HVAC is a process and HVAC subject matter expert in their assigned region. The duties include but are not limited to: customer service, providing tactical direction, establishing priorities, assigning tasks, coordinating projects, and support to the Regional Manager as well as to the Teams.
Field Service Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the Team performs work safely, provides quality workmanship, is trained in technical skills, and complies with reporting processes and functions. The Field Service Coordinator reports to the Regional Manager, they will also complete other duties as assigned. They are expected to spend 65% of their time on billable work orders.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSkilled Work HVAC
- Complete thorough Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services on all standard package and split unit HVAC systems that are common among EFO’s commercial customers.
- Safe, efficient, and EPA compliant use of refrigerants in support of standard package and split unit HVAC systems that are common among EFO’s commercial customers.
- Safely diagnose and repair common mechanical, electrical, or system failure issues on standard boiler, package and split unit HVAC systems that are common among EFO’s commercial customers, including but not limited to: belts, pulleys, compressors, condensing units, circuity boards, contractors, leaks, safely cutting and brazing of copper components. Complete preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements. Self performs the following duties in compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Required to take part in mandatory HVAC on call rotation as needed.
Business Management
· Operations
- Responsible for ensuring Technicians adhere to Regional Managers’ guidance and direction.
- Coordinate with the Regional Manager to plan the execution of customer initiatives, projects, and preventive maintenance work orders.
- Develop, prepare, and provide complete and accurate estimates for project work ensuring all costs (labor, materials, etc.) are detailed to ensure the estimate (quote) is appropriate and in line with the organization’s financial goals.
- Assist with project planning and execution, coordinate with PMO, account team, and the Regional Manager as required.
Work Order Management
- Oversee completion of emergency work orders, provide recommendations on technician assignments to best respond.
- Collaborate with the regions’ Project Analyst and follow up with the Team regarding work orders that are waiting materials or have been aging with no recent activity.
Account Management
- Responsible for ensuring the success of accounts in the market, proper attention from Teams and adherence to established procedures.
Personnel Management
Training
- Responsible for the technical training proficiency of assigned Technicians.
- Regularly conduct technicians’ visits, ensure that they are following established safety procedures, are adhering to the Safety Pledge, and are following the Mandatory Safety Rules.
- Work together with the Senior Technician to provide feedback to Regional Manager on assessment of technicians’ skill and ability through EMCOR’s performance evaluation system.
Safety
- Model behavior and ensure you are always working safely. Coach and train Team members in proper safety procedures. Communicate with the Regional Manager regarding observations, trends, and issues.
- Support the Regional Manager and assist with Team members compliance with required safety training.
- Participate in and be prepared to lead the weekly safety call as required.
