OverviewAn Electrical Crew Leader plans, organizes, and schedules crews to complete assigned work orders, including assigning tasks. They also assure the work is being installed in a high‑quality manner and performing quality inspections. Crew Leaders also monitor task completion, compliance, and prevent safety issues.

Responsibilities- Material phasing – organize material by specific areas/floors; keep track of material inventories.
- Tools & equipment – identify all tools and equipment required to support each crew (gang box assignments, tool inspection, signing sheets).
- Information packages – each crew activity must have information packages (contract drawings, shop drawings, panel schedules, cut sheets, etc.).
- Control of breaks – monitor loss time of personal breaks, smoking time, conversation time.
- Daily hour/unit reports – submit hours/units daily for each employee assigned to the foreman via the standard time sheet.
- Quality control inspections – follow established QC plan & check lists.
- Installation – ensure work is installed professionally and to high‑quality standards.
- As‑built drawings – maintain accurate as‑built drawings; update and log onto master record contract drawings at least once a week.
- Tool inventory – inventory all tools & equipment at day’s end; submit inspection sheets every Monday.
- Lost/stolen/damage tool report – report incidents promptly.
- AHA’s – review, sign, and store all relevant AHA’s at the gang box.
- Equipment inspection – submit daily inspection sheets for all assigned equipment once a week.
- Accident/incident reporting & investigation – follow procedures; submit reports within 24 hours.
- Clean up – maintain a broom‑swept condition at all work areas at day’s end.
- 6+ years of experience in the electrical industry with a high school degree or GED.
- 4+ years of experience with an associate degree.

- Lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis; demonstrate physical strength and stamina.
- Relocate a 12‑foot stepladder without assistance.
- Work at heights up to 60 feet, climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
- Perform repetitive tasks: walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and reach overhead.
- Good vision (may be corrected); ability to see in color, hear, and communicate in English.
- Use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
- Recognize when something is wrong or likely to go wrong; report promptly.
