Oversees facility operations and maintains ground and building systems. Recommends capital improvements and develops budget for those improvements. When applicable, manages one to six (1-6) temporary or work release people.

ResponsibilitiesNOTE:
You must fill out the work history and education sections of application to show you have years of experience/education as required by hiring department or be disqualified.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Four (4) Full-Time years of building operations experience.
- Must have knowledge of basic building operations, life safety systems, plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, fabrication and welding, and spreadsheet and word processing programs.
- Must have the ability to work well with elected officials and department heads.
- Must be self-motivated, organized, and able to work without direct supervision.
- Forklift certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Class C driver license required; ability to obtain Class A within eight (8) months of hire, if applicable.
- Must have in depth knowledge of all aspects regarding building operations.
If hired, you must provide proof of educational attainment at new hire processing
Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudication in the past seven years and may include financial reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, walk, climb, stoop, lift, push and pull.
