Job Summary

The firm is seeking an Insurance Coverage Defense Attorney to join its Dallas‑based practice. This role focuses on sophisticated first‑party property and third‑party liability coverage matters, from pre‑suit analysis through litigation. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail‑oriented, and confident in written and oral advocacy. This position is well suited for an attorney who enjoys in‑depth policy analysis, strategic litigation work, and contributing meaningfully within a team‑driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Handle first‑party property and third‑party liability coverage matters at all stages
  • Perform pre‑suit coverage analysis and provide strategic recommendations
  • Analyze insurance policies and evaluate coverage positions
  • Conduct and defend examinations under oath and depositions
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and written discovery
  • Attend mediations, hearings, and other court proceedings
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate billing and comply with reporting guidelines
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with the applicable state bar or ability to obtain licensure
  • Two to seven years of experience handling insurance coverage matters
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple matters
  • Collaborative, team‑first mindset
  • Writing sample required
