Overview:
We are seeking a Level II Desktop Support Technician to provide internal-facing technical support across core infrastructure and end-user technologies. This role focuses on troubleshooting and resolving issues related to O365, DNS, DHCP, email, and Active Directory within a helpdesk/desktop support environment. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a solid technical foundation, and the ability to work independently while supporting users and collaborating with IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support
  • Provide Level II support for O365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Exchange Online, and general productivity tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve DNS and DHCP issues impacting user connectivity, name resolution, and network performance.
  • Handle day-to-day support requests related to email, user access, authentication, and directory services.
  • Manage Active Directory tasks such as account creation, group membership updates, password resets, and permission troubleshooting.
  • Support general desktop and workstation issues, escalations, and technical incidents from Level I technicians.
Systems Troubleshooting & Administration
  • Identify and resolve system-level issues involving endpoints, network services, and authentication flows.
  • Collaborate with administrators and engineering teams on escalations, including security or configuration concerns.
  • Document findings, solutions, and procedures to improve operational workflows and knowledge sharing.
Customer Service & Communication
  • Provide clear, professional communication to end users, peers, and management regarding ticket status, issue resolution, and system updates.
  • Work independently in a helpdesk/desktop environment with minimal supervision while maintaining reliability and accountability.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Exposure to systems administration or engineering tasks, including security best practices.
  • Familiarity with enterprise management tools and endpoint security concepts.
  • Interest in expanding technical skills across IT infrastructure and support teams.
Work Environment

This is a hands-on helpdesk/desktop support role within a collaborative IT team. The organization encourages skill development and supports growth into other technical groups as part of its internal talent-development culture.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.
