TECH Resources is seeking a Manager IT Application Systems specializing in managed care/payer technical environments for an immediate contract opportunity with a leading healthcare organization. This position will be hybrid, meaning the candidate needs to reside in or relocate to the DFW area. Open to Contract-to-Hire or Direct Hire (FTE) for the right candidate.
- Provide team leadership by managing a team of Systems Analysts and Sr. Systems Analysts, guiding them through the ongoing planning, design, implementation, and support of core business and clinical solutions. Oversee application support for critical systems including QNXT, Care Advance, and member/provider portals, ensuring seamless operations across the health plan's technology ecosystem.
- Build and utilize expertise across proprietary Cognizant tools such as Configuration Manager, Content Editor, Workflow engine, and TCS. Maintain direct relationships with key application systems vendors through vendor management, ensuring accountability against contract SLAs and fostering productive partnerships. Ensure compliance with related regulatory and security requirements that govern health plan operations.
- 8+ years of progressive experience implementing and supporting IT applications in a healthcare environment, coupled with 6+ years of management experience leading technical resources in the implementation and support of complex payer IT solutions.
- Payer/health plan experience is critical, with at least 4+ years implementing and maintaining health plan functions including Claims, Utilization Management, and Care Management.
- Experience with Cognizant QNXT and Care Advance solutions in a managed‑care organization will set you apart. An Associate Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Strong soft skills are essential, including excellent coaching abilities and comfort presenting documented requirements to both technical and business audiences, bridging the gap between IT operations and clinical/business stakeholders.
