Your Opportunity:
Venture Solutions (a Taylor company) is seeking an Application Systems Analyst. This is a sight‑on position five days a week in our Ft. Worth office – supporting applications, tools and shared service production platform across the organization. The role requires a hands‑on professional who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and working to drive projects, improve system resiliency, and research to improve tools and methods for the timely production of business‑critical documents.

The successful candidate will have experience in relevant technologies and tools, adept at managing multiple simultaneous projects, and comfortable leveraging centralized corporate and local operating company resources.

• Provides subject matter expertise in document re‑engineering, pre‑composed output manipulation, composition knowledge and workflow. PostScript (PS), Adobe PDF, AFP print files, including imposition for different equipment.
• Responsible to have and maintain a practical working knowledge and experience with basic infrastructure tools including file servers, virtualization schemes, Active Directory permissions, FTP & sFTP file transfer methods, and secure computing environments.
• Supports and resolves moderately complex job failures.
• Responsible for conferring with internal and external technical contacts regarding how to resolve system issues, on‑site daily as well as “on call” after hours.
• Monitors applications; documents and analyzes problems.
• Installs and configures applications on Windows.
• Maintain system documentation.
• Collaborate with the App Dev team to ensure proper integrations of applications and to develop test plans to verify new or updated applications.
• Set up and administrate accounts/licenses.
• Partner with the Server, App Dev and Security teams to ensure appropriate controls and audit logs are in place.
• Partner with the Server team and/or the vendor to tune and troubleshoot issues and remediate security issues.
• Plan, coordinate, test and communicate changes, upgrades/maintenance schedules to ensure business operations will operate correctly in current and future environments.
• Partner with the App Dev team to develop test plans to verify new or updated applications.
• Researches new technology and recommend its appropriate implementation.
• Maintains a visible project list and individual project status register.
• Identifies key stakeholders and gains active participation; maintains all cross‑functional team relationships.
• Communicates/reports progress and metrics to relevant stakeholders.

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure and network workflows, equipment and processes.
• Experience with communications of concepts to technical and non‑technical staff.
• Capacity to effectively handle multiple technical roles in a complex environment.
• Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, organize and plan work to satisfy established time frames.

• Experience in digital print and/or mail production.
• Working knowledge of prepress and conventional printing.
• Workflows with Compart, Pitstop, Ready
  
  PDF, Solimar and JAMS.
• MFT (Managed File Transfer) with MOVEit software.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $75,000 - $82,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
