Position Summary:
The Enterprise Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s enterprise systems infrastructure, managing both network and systems administration to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role coordinates the design, implementation, administration, and support of the IT network and systems architecture and works closely with IT leadership to drive initiatives that support the company's strategic goals. The Enterprise Systems Manager will directly supervise the Network and Systems Administrators, ensuring alignment with IT policies, processes, and service standards.
Functions Leadership & Strategy
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Network and Systems Administration teams
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of network and systems infrastructure in line with industry standards and best practices
- Collaborate with IT leadership to develop enterprise system strategies and recommend upgrades or innovations to meet evolving business needs
- Ensure robust and secure network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewall, VPN, and telecommunications
- Oversee server maintenance, virtualization, storage, and backup solutions, including both physical and virtual environments
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, policies, and procedures for audit and compliance purposes
- Implement and enforce network and systems security protocols to safeguard company data.
- Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Coordinate with vendors for network and systems support, including issue resolution and service improvements
- Monitor network and system performance; proactively address capacity and performance issues
- Ensure efficient support processes are in place to meet internal service levels
- Provide guidance and support for after-hours network and systems troubleshooting as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;
Master’s degree or additional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, ITIL) preferred - 5+ years in network or systems administration, with at least 2 years in leadership or supervisory role
- Demonstrated expertise in IT infrastructure, including network and server administration, virtualization, and security
- Strong understanding of network principles, VLANs, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Proficient in Windows Server administration, Microsoft 365, virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware), and cybersecurity best practices
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to translate complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders
