Position: HR Specialist 1

Job Summary

To successfully complete assigned Human Resources functions within the organization while creating a culture which best serves our customers, our employees, and the communities in which we have influence.

Responsibilities
  • Process Weekly Payroll and Monthly Incentive Pay.
  • Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system.
  • Maintains HRIS data and runs required reports.
  • Support staffing needs by participating in the job posting recruiting and interviewing process.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all dealings with management and employees.
  • Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9.
  • Assist with site Safety Program and DOT compliance.
  • Participate in Employee Engagement activities program.
  • Conduct onboarding and offboarding of employees for location.
  • Assist and participate in employee investigations.
  • Assist in the generation and tracking of employee Disciplinary Notices.
  • Assist with preparing and tracking Annual Performance Reviews.
  • Assist with Leave of Absence case administration.
  • Represents organization at Unemployment Hearings.
  • Participates in Internal and External Audits of HR and PR compliance.
  • Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements.
  • Maintains guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Cooperate with Reliance reporting standards regarding compliance and other information requests.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or similar discipline
