The LCSW social worker provides direct Social Work services to patients and families coping with acute or chronic medical conditions. The Social Worker provides ongoing supportive counseling/clinical therapy aimed at maintaining the functional behavior of families. The social worker assesses families for needed assistance with resource procurement in order to support the family's effort in caring for their child in either the ambulatory or inpatient care setting.
Education& Experience
- Master s degree from an accredited school of Social Work.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting and prior experience working with children and families is preferred.
- Current Texas License for LCSW.
- Basis Life Support (BLS) Certification for Health Care Providers required within 30 days of employment.
