* Summary:
** In this role, you will lead consulting engagements focused on improving the performance of hospitals’ and health systems’ food and nutrition services. You will leverage your operational background as a former food service director or higher to provide operational, financial, and strategic guidance that strengthens client outcomes in patient satisfaction, cost optimization, workforce efficiency, and retail strategy. You will deliver data-driven insights, apply project management discipline, and translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations for senior leadership while traveling extensively to support client needs.
** Responsibilities:*
* • Lead consulting projects focused on food and nutrition services operations across patient dining, retail, and clinical nutrition functions.
• Analyze operational and financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and developing evidence-based recommendations.
• Apply project management methodology to plan, track, and deliver high-impact engagements within established timelines and budgets.
• Facilitate client meetings, present findings, and guide discussions with senior hospital and health-system leaders.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor less experienced consultants in data interpretation, storytelling, and client engagement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mid- to senior-level client executives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance consulting tools, methodologies, and best practices within food and nutrition services.
• Identify opportunities to expand Vizient’s value through additional consulting or performance improvement initiatives.

* Qualifications:

* • Relevant degree preferred; advanced degree desired.
• 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
• Director-level or higher leadership experience in healthcare food and nutrition services preferred.
• Experience in consulting or multi-hospital system leadership preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading operational improvement, cost reduction, or patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to convey complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and build trusted relationships with healthcare executives.
• Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables (up to 70%).
** Estimated Hiring Range:
** At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $.This position is also incentive eligible.
