Insurance Verifier (Schedule:
8:30–5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday)
- Interface with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
- Update patient demographics and information in the system.
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain proper authorization from insurance carriers.
- Determine what funds to collect upon admission.
- Notify patients of monies due and document in the billing system.
- Perform other duties as required or requested by chain of command.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Required Experience: Minimum two years’ previous experience in hospital insurance verification.
- Skilled in operating office equipment necessary to fulfill job duties.
- Forty‑five (45) words per minute typing speed.
- Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge – Word and Excel preferred.
- Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage
