SummaryAssumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre‑K through adolescents which includes activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors. The Program Specialist II also participates in crisis intervention, teaching, group process and on call as needed.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree required preferably in psychology, child development, social work or related field
- Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
4.Child growth and development education required - CPR - BLS must be completed within 60 days of start date
- CPI Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Children's Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date
Minimum requirements changed March 2022. Prior employees grandfathered in with at least 2 years of previous inpatient/partial hospital/residential child or adolescent services for each year of college.
