Job SummaryThe Intermed IT Clinical Informatics Analyst is responsible for guiding clinicians, facility leadership and various clinical committees/work groups in the analysis, evaluation, development, testing and implementation of clinical workflows and support within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for JPS Health Network. This role is responsible for analyzing user needs and making recommendations for workflow design and software change. This position is able to lead small/medium initiatives within the enterprise following PMO methodology and change management processes.
EssentialJob Functions & Accountabilities
- Serves as a liaison between clinicians, facility leadership, EMR Governance Committees, various clinical committees/work groups and Information Services.
- Assists in the planning, design, development, implementation, support and ongoing optimization of EMR and other technologies.
- Rounds on end users to identify trends and issues. Collaborates with appropriate teams to formulate corrective actions for identified needs.
- Assists in identifying change efforts, including communication, change readiness assessment, gap analysis, education, workflows and policy and procedural changes.
- Assists with analysis and documentation of current state / future state. Collaborate with Information Service teams to ensure clinical system build is in alignment with standardization and future state workflows.
- Participates in/lead initiatives to educate, train, and provide ongoing support to clinicians regarding the use of EMR and related technologies.
- Works with customers to develop strategies, manage change, and maintain compliance of best practice workflow.
- Participates in facility and clinical committees and/or projects as clinical informatics expert.
- Assists in support of physician builders/change champions and identification of downstream impacts of changes for evaluation.
- Assists with virtual support of end users for rapid resolution of workflow questions and issues.
- Works independently with guidance in only the most complex situations.
- May provide assistance in leading multiple projects.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
- Participates in a shared call rotation for the team to provide 24/7 support.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or similar clinical degree/certification in respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, pharmacy, clinical nutrition or other related health care field.
- 3 plus years of clinical or clinical informatics experience.
- Epic certification in at least one core application.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Clinical experience with multiple care environments and clinical disciplines.
- Project management experience.
