About Us: We are a leading provider for long-term care facilities across Texas. Our mission is to ensure residents in skilled nursing settings receive exceptional, person-centered nutrition care. We are seeking a Registered Dietitian Consultant to support seven facilities across the Fort Worth and Abilene markets, providing high-level dietary oversight and promoting strong survey readiness.
Position Summary: This role is ideal for an experienced long-term care dietitian who is confident managing multiple facilities. You will evaluate residents’ nutritional needs, support facility dietary teams, and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations. Strong long-term care experience is required, as this position provides oversight across a multi-facility region.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct nutritional assessments and reassessments in skilled nursing facilities
- Develop, monitor, and update individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team
- Provide guidance on therapeutic diets, menu planning, and dietary modifications
- Train, coach, and support dietary staff in nutrition practices, sanitation, and food safety
- Ensure full regulatory compliance and maintain survey readiness across all assigned facilities
- Complete required documentation accurately and timely
- Travel regularly to 7 facilities within the Fort Worth and Abilene markets
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) with active Texas licensure
- Long-term care experience required (minimum 1-2 years; more strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of CMS, state regulations, and dietary requirements in nursing homes
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Must be willing and able to travel regionally (mileage reimbursement provided)
