Work hours:
Full-time (40 hours/week), day shift.
- Fast-Paced, high-volume department
- Team oriented department
- Associate Degree in Applied Science required or
- Completion of an accredited program in cardiovascular technology (Must obtain RCIS within six (6) months) required or
- High school diploma or equivalent with two (2) years' work experience in invasive cardiology required
- One (1) year vascular or cardiac angiography experience preferred or
- Two (2) years' experience with high school diploma required
- Two (2) years EP Lab experience strongly preferred
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire required and
- GMRT-General Medical Radiologic Technologist (if ARRT only) upon hire preferred or
- RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Obtain within 6 months if graduate from Cardiovascular Accredited Program) upon hire required and
- LMRT - Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (if RCIS only) upon hire preferred or
- RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (For Electrophysiology Labs (EP) only) upon hire required and
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required
Texas Health EP Cardiovascular Special Procedure Technologists are responsible for assessing and recognizing the patient's emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.
