We are seeking a professional and compassionate Front Desk Float to join our healthcare team. As the first point of contact, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our patients, staff, and visitors. In this role, your key responsibilities will include greeting patients, managing the check-in process, scheduling appointments, and handling phone communications. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records and traveling between office locations to support patient and physician needs.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring a positive experience
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls, including screening and directing calls as appropriate
  • Schedule appointments and maintain updated calendars for medical professionals
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information and update records as necessary
  • Collect copayments and process payments, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Maintain tidy and organized reception area, ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere
  • Coordinate patient flow and ensure timely check-ins and check-outs
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
  • Collaborate with medical staff and other administrative personnel to ensure smooth operations
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  • Travel between office locations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and insurance verification
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing patient records and processing payments
  • Familiarity with medical coding and billing practices is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
