Canvas Outpatient PLLC is seeking a full-time, in-person Group & Intake Therapist to join our collaborative behavioral health team in Fort Worth. This role is ideal for a compassionate, team-oriented clinician who enjoys both assessment and group facilitation work. You will provide comprehensive intakes, lead therapy groups, and support individuals in our intensive outpatient and outpatient programs using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches.
Schedule- Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays: 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM
- Wednesdays and Fridays: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Full-time, on-site schedule. Some flexibility may be required to meet program and client needs.
Intake & Assessment
- Conduct in-person biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Gather clinical history, assess presenting concerns, and establish treatment goals.
- Orient new clients to program expectations, confidentiality, and structure.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director and treatment team for care coordination.
Group & Individual Therapy
- Facilitate on-site group therapy sessions focused on coping skills, trauma recovery, emotional regulation, and interpersonal growth.
- Provide individual therapy as needed to reinforce treatment objectives.
- Apply evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, or mindfulness-informed interventions).
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in interdisciplinary case staffing, clinical meetings, and consultations.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure coordinated care.
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete intake summaries, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge documentation promptly.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, and Texas behavioral health standards.
- Uphold professional and ethical standards of clinical practice.
Crisis Management
- Respond to and de-escalate crisis situations using established safety protocols.
- Conduct risk assessments and collaborate with supervisory staff when needed.
Professional Development
- Attend ongoing supervision, training, and continuing education.
- Stay informed of best practices in trauma-informed and evidence-based behavioral health care.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
- Active Texas license: LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LPC-Associate, LMFT, or LMFT-Associate.
- Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience in behavioral health, IOP, PHP, or outpatient settings preferred.
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
- Team-oriented, ethical, and compassionate in approach.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed models, EMDR, or integrative treatment approaches.
- Experience facilitating therapy groups and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
- Competitive full-time salary range of $55,000–$65,000, based on licensure level and experience.
- Free EMDR training and consultation.
- Free LCSW supervision (if applicable).

- Must be present on-site during scheduled hours.
- Ability to sit, stand, and move between therapy and intake spaces throughout the day.
- Maintain emotional stability and professionalism while engaging with clients experiencing distress or crisis.
