Work location:
1300 West Terrell Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104Work hours:
Full-time, 40 hours weekly, rotating 8-hour shiftsHours may vary beginning as early as 7:00am and ending as late as 6:00pm
Call and weekends required on a rotational basis
Travel: 50% to surrounding hospitals & clinics (mileage reimbursement provided)

High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
Associate Degree Related field (preferred)
ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers
RDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Upon Hire (required)
RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer Upon Hire (required)
Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases
Excellent communication skills
Good computer skills
Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Registered Echo Sonographer Process
Will produce two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures, using ultrasound equipment, for use by physician in diagnosis of heart disease and study of heart.
Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed.
Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians.
Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient.
May perform therapeutic procedures.
Enters patient information into computer database to record information on video cassette and strip printout of test.
Reviews test results with interpreting physician.
Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram.
Performs other duties as assigned.
