Medical Laboratory Scientist – Microbiology

    1301 Pennsylvania Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76104
  • Work hours:

    Five 8–hour shifts 6:30 am-3:00 pm, Monday–Friday including rotating weekends and holidays

Here’s What You Need:

MLS Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree for an MLS Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred (or attained within 3 months of hire date).
  • Individuals hired as a CLS II prior to January 3, 2010 will be grandfathered to the MLS position with existing education.
  • Internship in an approved Medical Technician training program required.
  • 2 years’ experience in a Medical Laboratory preferred.
  • Previous experience in high‑complexity Microbiology lab highly preferred.
  • MLS (ASCP) Medical Lab Scientist required within 6 months after hire.
  • MT (ASCP) Medical Technologist required within 6 months after hire.
  • Other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS‑CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology required within 6 months after hire or M(ASCP) – Microbiology if working in Microbiology required within 6 months after hire.
