Fast-paced, high volume Surgery department is looking for top skilled CST’s. Is that you?
Work location: Texas Health Forth Worth Harris, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Ft Worth, TX 76104
Work hours: Full Time Days 36 hrs/week. Weekend and holiday requirements
Surgery Department Highlights- Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
- Fast-Paced, high-volume department averaging 75 surgeries/day
- Level I Trauma Candidate performing high-acuity and intense surgical procedures capable of providing excellent clinical experience to the new hire.
- Robotics, Complex spine and ortho trauma, and intricate plastic surgery cases are the highlight of surgical offerings at THFW
- 2 Years Recent experience in a surgical service specialty Required
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009. Other Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, vocational nurse program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology. Pref
Experience2 Years Recent experience in a surgical service specialty
Licenses and Certifications- CST - Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and graduate of an accredited surgical tech program Upon Hire Req
- CST - Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and was employed to practice surgical technology in a healthcare facility before September 1, 2009 Upon Hire Req
- CST - Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology Upon Hire Req
- LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire Req And
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Upon Hire Req
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally across disciplines. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. A high degree of confidentiality with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple demands as well as respond to rapidly changing priorities. Service orientation and demonstrated ability to respond to the needs and emotions of people under stress.
