Nursing Assistant (Patient Safety Assistant)
• Full Time
Hours:
6:45 a.m. – 7:15 p.m.
Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience. Minimum hourly pay: $18.00 per hour.
This Patient Safety-focused role will serve patients who require more individualized activities to enhance focus while ensuring safety. The patient population will consist of patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, and other conditions that impact memory, focus, cognition, and the ability to consume food and liquids safely and/or independently.

- Support the expansion of a Safety Coach Program using Nursing Assistant skills with a focus on a specialized patient population
- Provide individualized activities to enhance patient focus while maintaining safety
- Assist with unit and patient room rounds focused on patient safety program compliance
- Demonstrate flexibility in assignment and patient scope based on unit needs
- Minimum: High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years)
- BLS through AHA required
- Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant, or related field (e.g., medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
