Pharmacy Technician Trainer - Full Time - JPS Health Network
HOURS: Must be available for 8-hour shifts between 8a-5p, with possible expansion based on training needs.
PAY: $29.00-$30.00/hour, DOE
Vytl One (formerly Maxor National Pharmacy Services) is seeking a highly competent, driven, compassionate, and nationally-certified pharmacy technician to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician Trainer at JPS Health Network's outpatient pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician Trainer is responsible for educating and mentoring pharmacy technician trainees to ensure they can successfully pass the NHA or PTCB certification exam. This role involves developing and delivering training programs, creating educational materials, and assessing the progress of trainees.
The trainer will also stay up to date with pharmacy regulations, best practices, and emerging industry trends to ensure that all technician trainees are well-equipped to meet the standards of the pharmacy and provide exceptional patient care. JPS Health Network's outpatient pharmacies are some of the Vytl One-managed pharmacies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (These duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position):- Develop and implement an effective training plan for pharmacy team members.
- Create course content, manuals, or other training material to help facilitate learning.
- Revise existing training materials and programs based on new regulations, questionnaires, and feedback from internal/external stakeholders.
- Oversee pharmacy team member development, including coaching to ensure desired skill proficiency and process consistency across all pharmacy locations.
- Identify skill or knowledge gaps among pharmacy team members and develops training content in response to identified training needs.
- Assess the impact of training programs by measuring employee understanding of the subject matter.
- Evaluate technician abilities by administering pre and post-training assessments.
- Schedule training programs and prepares training status reports, assessments, and evaluation tools.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, consistent with company standards in dress and personal appearance.
- Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and key players to identify department training needs.
- Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.
- Comply with Vytl One's Ethical Business Conduct policy and Vytl One's Compliance Program.
- Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.
- Complete required training and ensure the departmental staff training is completed as required.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with established policies.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED Required, additional schooling a plus
- Clear/Current Texas Pharmacy Technician License required
- PTCB or NHA National Pharmacy Technician Certification required
- Advanced certifications are a plus
- Must have a minimum of 2 years equivalent experience as a pharmacy technician, with a minimum of 1 year experience supporting team members in the development/training of skills preferred
- Combination of below knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Self-motivated with personal integrity and ability to work effectively with other staff.
- Proficiency in writing process workflows and training documents.
