Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth – 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104
Work hours: Full Time Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) – 36 hours per week. Includes weekend and holiday requirements.
Here’s What You Need- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- CLIA compliance for foreign education equivalency.
- PCT Training Program: TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT, accredited community college program, or THR‑approved program. Certification may not be required to maintain after hire.
- EMT – Emergency Medical Technician (or military medical training equivalent to EMT‑B). Certification may not be required to maintain after hire.
- Other applicants: nursing students who have completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree programs. Certification may not be required to maintain after hire.
- 1 year of applicable experience in lieu of an active approved certification. Certification required at hire.
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly.
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training maintained annually (90‑day requirement).
- Strong organizational skills, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication.
- Ability to demonstrate skills as a PCT in a fast‑paced environment.
- Provide patient care and assistance based on the plan of care and patient/family preferences.
- Collect and report patient data; support admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
- Perform technical procedures safely and document care accurately.
- Collaborate with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and proactively meet patient and visitor needs.
- Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, and effective communication across disciplines.
- Participate in process improvement, adhere to safety goals, and advocate for patients.
