RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) with a 2:1 patient ratio (2 patients per 1 RN)

• Required to work 2 weekend shifts biweekly

• No on-call responsibilities

• 2 years of critical care experience required (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or any critical care specialty)

• Ventilator experience and art/central line/chest tube management skills required

• CVICU specific experience, CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella experience preferred

• Dress code requires royal blue scrubs

• Work with equipment including GE monitors, EV 1000, Hemispheres, CRRT (Next Stage), Implella, Swan Ganz, art lines, chest tubes, and ventilators

• Use Meditech EMR system (experience preferred)

• Perform hemodynamic monitoring, Swan Ganz, art lines, and chest tubes procedures

• May float to Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, or Cardiac PCU

• Must be a team player who works well with collaborative care

• BSN and CCRN certifications preferred

This healthcare facility features a 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit located on the 3rd floor. The unit maintains high staffing standards with 45 all-RN staff members and operates with a 2:1 patient ratio on both day and night shifts, with one charge nurse per shift. The facility utilizes modern critical care equipment and technology to provide comprehensive cardiovascular intensive care services to patients requiring specialized cardiac monitoring and treatment.
