RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) on 3rd floor (3 West) of A Tower

• Maintain 2:1 patient ratio (2 patients to 1 RN)

• Day shift includes 1 CNC and night shift includes 1 CNC

• Required to work 2 weekend shifts biweekly

• No on-call responsibilities

• Must have 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU any Critical Care specialty)

• Ventilator experience required along with arterial/central line and chest tube management skills

• CVICU specific experience, CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella experience preferred

• BSN and CCRN certifications preferred

• Meditech experience preferred

• Work with equipment including GE monitors, EV 1000, Hemispheres, CRRT (Next Stage), Impella, Swan Ganz, arterial lines, chest tubes, and ventilators

• Perform hemodynamic monitoring, Swan Ganz procedures, arterial line management, and chest tube care

• Float to Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, and Cardiac PCU as needed

• Royal blue scrubs required

• Must be a team player who works well with collaborative care

• Use Meditech EMR system
